It’s nearly that time of year again! Spending time with family, eating all the food and enjoying all the drinks!
Here’s my top tips for keeping as fit as possible this year during Christmas!
Just so we don’t get too far off track!
Drink plenty of water, keep a water bottle by your side!
Eat by colour daily, including food from all the food groups! Plenty of fruit and vegetables.
Eat slowly and mindfully! Smell and taste the food to experience all the benefits of breaking down and digesting it properly! Your body will thank you!
Anyone heard of the acronym NEAT? Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis. This is the calories expended outside of exercise, eating and sleeping! Travel by walking, stand rather than sit, complete yard work, take the stairs. These are all examples of NEAT and will help you to keep your calorie burn high!
Get as much sleep as possible! Try for 7-8 hours per night.
