We are not trying to achieve perfect we are trying to move the dial towards better!
Getting sufficient sleep will improve body temperature, help heart rate and rhythms, assist digestion and food absorption. It will improve hormone levels, immunity, tissue repair. It will regulate appetite, hunger, mood, emotions, energy, alertness, growth, development and aging!
What about trying to implement a pre sleep routine? Rather than talking about getting 7-8 hours of solid sleep, change the behaviours which will allow this to occur.
Dim lights, turning off all stimulating electronics 1 hour before bed, deep breathing, yoga or other exercise, cutting out caffeine 8 hours prior to sleep.
Now think of other actions you can take to make it easier, what can you change now to turn the dial towards better in 2021?
To summarise create a sustainable habit which you can utilise during 2021 to help achieve your goals!
